My Compassion is looking for interns in assisting the Fundraising Department to create and implement the organization’s fundraising efforts. As an intern you will be helping the core team with – events, grants, in-kind donations, donors and Sponsorships.
This internship positions will provide someone with substantial experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, event planning, researching donor prospects, solicitation strategizing, in addition to gaining valuable hands on experience working with one of the nation’s leading medical cannabis nonprofit organizations.

Responsibilities:
- Foundations and Grants:

CLINICAL OUTREACH UNDERGRADUATE INTERN
My Compassion’s Clinical Outreach Representative is responsible for connecting with healthcare professionals to provide educational resources about medical cannabis care and build a robust clinical community throughout the region serving patients who are utilizing cannabis for their medical conditions. As the Clinical Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and managing the following projects.

- Provide outreach to doctors, clinics and hospitals to educate about medical cannabis
- Acts as a liaison to the community at medical related events and conferences, promoting CME and CNE courses

My Compassion is seeking a highly motivated Data Collection Intern to join our data collection team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational skills. In addition, you will need to quickly understand changes to collection protocol in response to workflows. S/He should be able to contribute to improvements in data collection projects by identifying bugs in tools and suggesting enhancements. Passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as proactive behavior in addressing issues and problems in a huge plus. Ability to lead and simplify recruiting and training efforts is a plus.

The position will combine administrative duties, research and client support and requires someone who is attentive to detail and a team player. The event coordinator intern will support My Compassions with its events including planning, implementation, logistics, registration, conducting market research, list creation, database management and providing on-site event assistance.

- Create mock-ups for proposed project pages and update them as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ professional (paid) web design experience
- Students majoring in Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field, or 3+ years’ additional experience
- Knowledge of content marketing a plus
- Proficiency with ASP.net web forms
- Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Knowledge of WordPress standards and functionality
- Professional portfolio with at least 5 designs for internal review
Each intern will be expected to work 15–20 hours per week (this is flexible).
My Compassion is seeking motivated and responsible college students or young professionals looking to gain experience working with a nonprofit. A candidate should have an interest in My Compassions mission to provide medical cannabis education to the public. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain course credit and to seek out “work-study” grants with your college, if that is an option.
